When I started my tutoring with Joanne, I was a grade C A-level chemistry student. With her help, in just 6 months I managed to achieve the A grade I needed to get into medical school! Joanne is the most incredible teacher, I have worked with quite a few chemistry tutors to find the right one, but Joanne was definitely the perfect fit. Joanne has such a holistic approach to teaching, and really guides you to understand the subject as a whole rather than individual facts/topics. I had an intensive programme over Easter before my A-levels which was particularly helpful as she used some focused techniques, and I learnt more in those few weeks than most do in a year, and I feel it really gave me the edge. Not only is Joanne an incredible teacher and knows the content down to a T, she is also the loveliest person. I always felt comfortable with Joanne teaching me, and she was never judgemental (even when it would take me a few tries to get something). Overall I could not recommend Joanne more highly, she was such a big part of my journey, and I don't think I would be in med school now without her help! Thank you Joanne!

Joanne tutored our son for Biology and Chemistry. We found her to be very reliable, she was always organised and well prepared for his lessons. Joanne was thorough in her teaching but also very supportive and encouraging. With her help he achieved A* in both sciences and is currently in his third year at medical school. I found Joanne online and she began tutoring my son while he was in Year 11. At the time, he was earning a grade 3 in Physics and a 5 in Maths and Chemistry. After Joanne's tuition, he went on to receive 8s in both his Physics and Chemistry GCSEs and a 7 in his Maths GCSE. He is now studying Chemistry at A-Level, where he recently earned an A in his mock exam. He is now hoping to study neuroscience at a top university in the UK, thanks to Joanne. My son described her teaching as tremendous and credited her for her ability to make teaching modern and appropriate for young people. Before Joanne, he did not enjoy Chemistry, but it is safe to say he has now fallen in love with the subject due to how she taught it. I would also praise Joanne for her calm and gentle nature. I found her very patient and polite. I recommended her to a friend and I would continue to recommend her highly to anyone.

When I started with Joanne I was predicted a D in A level chemistry. With Joanne's help I managed to achieve an A! Joanne also tutored me in GCSE maths and helped me to achieve a grade 9. Joanne made me feel very comfortable and relaxed in my lessons. I really looked forward to my time with her each week. Her teaching was fun and engaging, she turned chemistry from my least favourite to most favourite subject. With Joanne's help and positivity I am now studying medicine at Liverpool.

When I first started lessons with Joanne, I was stuck at a C grade in chemistry. I felt stressed and didn’t believe I could ever achieve top grades. I had already tried multiple tutors, but none came close to matching the quality of Joanne’s teaching. She didn’t just give me the answers, she gave me the tools to truly understand the subject. She pushed me to think more deeply and to break problems down. She always wanted me to find the “why” behind every answer. This approach completely changed the way I saw chemistry. I truly believe that Joanne has a rare talent for building confidence in students. Within just a few months, I went from a C to an A grade in Chemistry which was something I never imagined possible. Now, I’m about to enter my final year of Pharmacy at UCL, and I know I wouldn’t be here without her. I am truly grateful.

Joanne was my Chemistry tutor for almost 2 years and was teaching me OCR A-Level Chemistry. She was an amazing tutor and helped me so much, which made Chemistry my favourite subject. She was especially helpful in filling in the gaps in my knowledge from school and giving me easier methods of remembering things and how to approach questions. I went from a place where I was unsure about my performance to a place where I was confidently expecting an A (which I received).
